MR PLANNING

In response to the increased use of MR for radiation therapy planning and treatment, we have focused development on phantoms to meet both critical image quality metrics and ease of use for clinical workflow.

The phantoms are available in head and two body sizes. The major advantage of these phantoms is that they combine high-precision, three-dimensional nonlinear distortion measurements while at the same time providing a thorough check on the MR system – all from a single scan. The unique Magphan® design, paired with Smári Image Analysis, allows for quality control of clinical sequences rather than a prescribed set of test scans.

 
The Magphan® S162 system phantom is designed for multi-channel head coils and to meet the specific QA needs for MRI scanners used in quantitative imaging, particularly in applications where geometric distortion can have critical impacts.

CT PLANNING

Catphan® phantoms, paired with Smári Image Analysis, is ideal for advanced imaging performance quality control tests required for diagnostic and radiation therapy clinics. The numerous phantom models are intended to provide quantitative tests to measure the maximum performance of modern multi-slice scanners and on-board CBCT systems.

Test objects include:

  • CT number accuracy, with a range of sensitometry targets including lung foam and simulated bone density materials

  • Signal uniformity and noise

  • High-contrast resolution with both line pair gauges and point sources for quantitative MTF measurements

  • Low contrast resolution, along with slice thickness and pixel spacing test objects.

QA DATA MANAGEMENT
